David is a Senior Associate specialising in Wills, probate, trusts and powers of attorney.
David has considerable experience advising a wide variety of clients on wills, inheritance tax planning and related issues. He specialises in probate and dealing with complicated estates, including multi-jurisdictional, high value estates and those estates with claims for business property and post-death tax planning.
David has expertise in dealing with Court of Protection applications, including deputyships, and advises on the use and preparation of lasting powers of attorney, Advance Medical Directives and Declarations of Trust.
He advises trustees and beneficiaries on their rights and responsibilities and the efficient administration of trusts. He is well versed in working alongside accountants and financial advisors to provide clients with an all-round service.
Qualifications and Experience
David gained an LLB from the University of Aberdeen and an MA in Economics and Philosophy (1983-1989). He was admitted to the roll of the Law Society in Scotland in 1992 and the Roll of the Law Society of England and Wales in 1999.
