EU parliament clamps down on tax avoidance

The EU Commission has passed a resolution approving  EU anti-tax avoidance measures.  MEPs sought tougher  limits on deductions for interest payments, more stringent rules on foreign income, greater transparency for trust funds and foundations, common rules for tax reductions on intellectual property earnings, and an EU blacklist of tax havens with sanctions against “uncooperative” jurisdictions.
